Canada’s labour market added 90K jobs and the unemployment rate held steady.

The Canadian labour market added 90K jobs in April (+0.4%) driven by gains in part-time employment (+50K; +1.4%). Year-over-year, part-time employment was up by 2.9% (+104K), while full-time was up by 1.7% (+273K).

The unemployment rate held at 6.1%. Year-over-year, it was up by 1%.
